9.0 SELECTION OF BIDDERS


Based on the comparison analysis, all offers will be collected and a comparative table as below will be generated. This will save a lot of the time and it also helps the Technical and Finance Team to make an assessment of the bids received. Table below shows that the comparison and evaluation table of 7 different bidders from difference companies. Since prangin mall do not have their own budget estimation, hence in order to getting the a more reliable budget, the mean of all quotation submitted is then calculated. After that, the range of the acceptable price is then calculated which between the 10% value of the mean calculated. Then, the proposed quotation of companies which did not fall in the range is automatically been rejected as it is too low or too high cost for the maintenance work. Then, the company which is not rejected, then, the pranging will consider the company finance condition, number of project on going and reputation of the companies. Then only compare which company have lowest cost for the maintenance work.

Mean = RM 50,077.23
Range: RM45069.51 ~ RM55084.95

From the range, it shows that, the company D, E, F and G is automatically rejected due to the quotation proposed is fall out of the range.

Then, the operation manager chooses the Company B for the maintenance work in prangin mall. This is because that among them the company B have the lowest quotation and the company B have clear cash flow and also the good finance condition and not really heavy project is undergoing in company B. Besides that, Company B They have over 20 years of experiences in managing the maintenance buildings of works. They are able to provide comprehensive maintenance solutions with high quality standards of building maintenance management.

The criteria below have been evaluated in order to select the winner of the bidder which included:
a)      Capability of the participant company to fulfil the requirement including technical and competence, financial viability and other relevant experiences
b)      Relevant skills of company provided, experience and availability of key personnel
c)      Quality assurance requirements
d)      The risks or constraints associated with our offer.
